Scout Eagle Project Brings in 1,000 Toys for Pediatric Unit

Young patients at Good Samaritan have a toy bounty to play with thanks to scout.

The pediatric unit at Good Smaritan Hospital is now 1,000 toys richer thanks to the effort of a local scout's Eagle Project.

After graduating from Copiague High School, 17-year-old Amityville resident Devante Faines-Grandison earned the Boy Scouts’ highest honor by organizing a toy drive through local merchants, churches and family members, and collecting more than 1,000 toys.
