Preview: West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition Clam Shucking Contest
18th annual contest will take place at Surf's Out Restaurant on Fire Island Aug. 14.
For the 18th year, the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition will host their at Surf's Out Restaurant in Kismet on Tuesday, August 14.
Festivities include music, raffles, a Chinese auction, silent auction, corn husking for kids, and a tennis clinic. There will be a cash grand prize for the raffle. All proceeds support the “Lend A Helping Hand” program, which provides services for local women affected by breast cancer.
JP of The Roger & JP Morning Show on WBAB will also be on location at the contest.

Admission to the event, which lasts from from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., is free.

Ferry ticket prices to Kismet will be reduced for the 9:25 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. rides, while supplies last. Tickets must be purchased at the Maple Avenue dock only.
