Beautification Society Completes New Planter
New flowers and bushes now blooming at the corner of Udall Rd. and Bellmore Ave.
A new planter designed by the West Islip Beautification Society is now in full bloom on the north side of town at the corner of Bellmore Ave. and Udall Rd.
The rectangular brick planter, across from Udall Road Middle School, is filled with an array of flowers and bushes. It joins nearly a dozen other planters around West Islip designed and maintained by the Beautification Society.
The next big event for the group will be its Mother’s Day plant sale on Saturday, May 12, at Pine Lake on Montauk Highway. The sale starts at 8 a.m. and all proceeds go to beautification projects around West Islip.
