Casamento Pool Opens This Weekend
Residents can cool off from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. throughout the summer.
Summer has officially arrived, and West Islip residents can cool off at Casamento pool, which is set to open on Saturday.
The pool will open along with the other Islip Town pools, including Shipwreck Cove in Bay Shore and Byron Pool in Oakdale.
The West Islip pool was originally slated to close due to the town's Sandy-related budget constraints. However, thanks to a grant, the pool will operate as usual throughout the summer.
Residents can enjoy the pool Wednesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. The season lasts through Aug. 17.
Casamento Park Pool is located at 65 Muncey Road in West Islip.
