WI Boys Nominated for Inside Lacrosse Laxie Awards
Lions make their yearly appearance in the sport's premiere publication.
For the second consecutive year, the West Islip boys lacrosse team was nominated for Laxie Awards by Inside Lacrosse Magazine.
The nominees for the 4th Annual Laxies, which recognize a variety of different categories on all levels of lacrosse, were released on Monday.

West Islip received two nominations; Upset of the Year ( over the Lions in the Long Island Championship) and Highlight Reel Goal of the Year ( to beat Ward Melville in OT).
Residents can visit the Laxies 2011 website to cast their vote.
