Sports Wrap-Up: Girls Soccer Goes Undefeated Once Again

Girls varsity, JV soccer teams go undefeated once again.

GIRLS SOCCER

The Girls Varsity Soccer team beat Centereach 5-0 this past Friday to finish league match play undefeated 12-0. The Senior Day victory marked the team's second consecutive year in which the girls went undefeated in league play, with a 24-0 record in two years of play.

The Girls JV Soccer team defeated Centereach 5-1 last Friday and completed their season undefeated with a record of 14-0. During the season the Lady Lions scored 62 goals and only gave up seven. For the season the team was lead by Tiana Balodis, who scored eight goals, Dominique Sarcona, who had 12 assists and a team defense that was ranked top in the league.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

The Girls Varsity Gymnastics team beat Lindenhurst 152-103 and increased its win record to 7-2.

Sydney Matone won the uneven bars with an 8.10 and Hanna Battaglini won the balance beam with an 8.55 and the floor exercise with an 8.90. The girls host Connetquot on Wednesday.
