Season: Fluke, Bluefish, Striped Bass

Overview: Captreefishfinder.com reports 10am fluke trips excellent fluke action this week ...all fishing took place in the bay with the pool fish weighing between 5 and 7 pounds each day ..quite of few anglers with their limits..the boat saw 8 to 20 keepers plus loads of shorts to keep everyone busy.

Best Lures: (Bluefish only)  ML-007 Diamond Jigs, (red and green), 5" Bass Assassins (white and pink)

Catch of the Day:  5lb fluke, caught in The Great South Bay.

Catch of the Week: 7.46lb fluke, caught in Great South Bay

Quote of the day: "bass and bluefish trips saw good fishing mainly blues in the 2 to 6 lbs range and a decent number of bass and weakfish mixed in, fish caught on bass assassins and diamond jigs."

Overview:  light winds this morning will become easterly this afternoon bringing a slight wind swell to the beaches today and this evening.

Forecast: High pressure will stay west of the area waters through Thursday but a cold front will approach and push across Saturday and Sunday, kicking up some wind swell. There are no tropical weather systems that will impact area waters through the weekend.
