West Islip Black Diamonds Snare LI Boys of Summer Title
The team beat the L.I. Force 7-5, L.I. Titans 7-3 and then crushed the B45 Storm in the championship game 13-1.
West Islip's Long Island Black Diamonds 13-year-old baseball team won the 2013 Long Island Boys of Summer Championship.
In order to win the title the boys defeated the L.I. Force 7-5, L.I. Titans 7-3 and then crushed the B45 Storm in the championship game 13-1 to capture this years crown. This was the second championship the team won in 2013. Earlier this year they won the FIOS wood bat championship in Bethpage.
Congratulation to coaches James Tamasello and Jon Kaese in leading the team to this year's title.
