The future stars of West Islip lacrosse can be found running the fields of the / complex over the next two weeks.
For the 25th consecutive year, the West Islip Boys Lacrosse Camp is being held under the watchful eye of Scott Craig, head coach of the high school’s boys lacrosse team, his assistant coaches and players from the Suffolk County Class A Championship team.
The two week camp, which splits local youth lacrosse players in two groups — second graders to seventh graders this week and eighth graders to 10th graders next week — gives youngsters the opportunity to work with high school level coaches and players.
West Islip Patch spent part of Tuesday at the camp and spoke with Craig about what it offers to up-and-coming players.
