Turri, Duke Eye Another Title

Former WI LAX star and Blue Devils teammates move on in NCAA lacrosse tournament.

The Turri family will be spending Memorial Day weekend in Massachusetts.

Following Duke University’s convincing 17-6 win over Colgate on Sunday in Philadelphia, Justin Turri and his Blue Devils teammates are moving on to the national semi-final of the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship. They face Atlantic Coast Conference rival Maryland on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN 2.

A redshirt senior, Turri continued his strong play in the tournament. Against the Raiders on Sunday, the West Islip High School graduate had a goal and dished out three assists as Duke turned an early competitive game into a rout.

His lone tally of the game came with 2:35 left in the first quarter and cut Colgate’s lead to 4-3. In the second quarter, Turri assisted on Robert Rotanz’ fourth goal of the game, and in the third quarter provided helpers on goals by Jordan Wolf and David Lawson.

Turri’s four points against Colgate follows up his five point (3G, 2A) performance in Duke’s opening round win a week ago against . He now has a total of 26 career points in NCAA Tournament play, just two shy of trying for sixth in Duke history.

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
