Softball Camp Focused On Fundamentals

Throughout July, the high school fields have been alive with summer sports camps as West Islip’s current and future athletic stars have been out learning from local coaches and past players.

This week, softball took center stage as Michelle Jantzen, head coach of West Islip High School’s softball team hosted her annual camp. Some 60 girls are participating this year, and Jantzen spoke with Patch about the camp and what youngsters are learning.
