West Islip's Christian Scuderi was drafted in the third round of the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft. Scuderi, a member of the Hofstra Pride, was taken with the sixth pick of the third round, 18th overall, by the Long Island Lizards.
Scuderi is a three-time All-American, having earned the honor twice while playing for New York Tech and once as a member of the Pride. The defensive stalwart led Hofstra with 15 forced turnovers and 38 ground balls as a senior this past season.
He was a member of the West Islip Lions team that won the state championship in 2006 and was selected as an All-American that season.
