Boys Track and Field Remains Undefeated

Team has their final meet of the season on Wednesday against Bay shore.

The West Islip Boys Track and Field started their season with an impressive 78 - 73 win over Smithtown West and remain undefeated in League III.

The team, under the leadership of coaches Jeremy Robertson and John Lavery, has not only had a winning season, they've done it in record breaking fashion.  Senior Dom Morgan broke the school's long jump record with a jump of 22" 6.5"  (he also holds the indoor long jump record of 21'3"). Junior Chris Nohilly broke the existing triple jump record with a jump of 44' 8". And a new school record was set in the 400m run by senior Colin O'Connor with a time of 50.27.

Currently ranked 7th on Long Island by Newsday, the team looks to capture the Suffolk League III title when they face Bay Shore in their final meet of the season on Wednesday, May 9.
