West Islip Chamber: Support Local Business Nov. 30

The West Islip Chamber is reminding local residents to shop local this holiday season and encourage others to do the same as the annual Small Business Saturday event takes place next weekend.

“As the holidays approach, think about supporting local establishments and shop the owner-run community businesses. Purchase services, gifts or gift certificates for services to give to your family and friends,” states a note on the chamber’s website.

Suggestions include gift certificates to pretty much every and any stores, including car detail shops, fishing trips, delis and car maintenance in addition to the usual hair and nail salons and gym facilities.

The list of local West Islip business participating on the big small business day is growing every day. Here’s an updated list of what local retailers and shop owners are offering:
