What's Open & Closed in West Islip: Oct. 31
Day three of the effects of Hurricane Sandy is upon us and closings are ongoing throughout West Islip.
Hurricane Sandy is now over 24-hours from our area, but her effects are still being felt throughout West Islip and nearby communities. Many of our local schools, businesses and organizations are remaining closed with power still out, roads still blocked and some homes in the flood zone completely uninhabitable.

- Most areas south of Montauk Highway have limited access – only residents and emergency personel will have some ability to manuever in the area.
