West Islip Wrestling Tourney Raises $800 for Breast Cancer Coalition
Varsity wrestling hosted teams from throughout Long Island for a good cause.
The West Islip varsity wrestling team hosted The West Islip Breast Cancer
Awareness Wrestling Tournament on December 29, to benefit the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
Teams from high schools across Long Island participated in the event, inlcuding Central Islip, Comsewogue, Freeport, Mamaroneck and Roosevelt. A team from South Windsor, CT. also took part.
Through t-shirt sales and a 50/50 raffle, the tournament enerated $800, which will be donted to the coalition.

The Lions finished third place overall in the tournament, behind Freeport and Central Islip. Tyler Walsh, of West Islip, was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
