West Islip Schools Accepting Budget Committee Applications

Residents interested in serving for the 2013-2014 budget can submit an application to the board of education.

School budget season is right around the corner, and the district is looking to form a Budget Advisory Committee for the 2013-2014 school budget.

All residents within the West Islip school District are eligible to apply.

Board of Education Trustees George Smith and Ron Maginniss will serve as chairs of the committee, along with Wendy Duffy, Assistant Superintendent of Business.

Meetings will be held during the evening on weekdays, starting on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Beach Street. All budget meetings are open to the public.

To apply, download the application (attached as a PDF of available on the district website) and mail to:

Applications must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 30.

This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Has anyone been able to find out if we are losing money renting this building to this for profitRead More preschool? If I under stood correctly from previous post's, there may be some friendship with one or more BOE members which paved the way for their lease.
