The West Islip Board of Education and district administrators will hold the second public budget worksession Wednesday evening.
The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Beach Street Middle School cafeteria. Technology expenses across the district will be discussed.
Superintendent Richard Simon revealed that the district faces a $2 million budget gap for the coming year during last week's initial budget hearing.
In the same meeting, Simon also noted that elementary enrollment continues to fall.
Three additional budget meetings are planned and all will take place in the Beach Street cafeteria.
