Lions win homecoming game against Smithtown East.
An exciting come from behind win put West Islip over Smithtown East, 33 to 27 in the recent homecoming game matchup.
Sam Ilario and Kyle Ziegler were recognized as the 2013 Homecoming Offensive and Defensive MVPs, respectively.
Congratulations to the West Islip High School Marching Lions, Flag Team, Cheerleaders and Kickline for their spectacular performances at both the Homecoming parade and football game.
West Islip High School drum majors Joe Randazzo and Kyle Small led the halftime show, featuring solos by Richie Zec & Ed Matin.
The Marching Lions will be performing in New York City's annual Columbus Day Parade down Fifth Avenue on October 14. Parade coverage will be televised on WABC Channel 7 beginning at 11 a.m.
