West Islip District Cancels Afternoon, Evening Activities Due to Snow

The West Islip School District, citing the snowy weather and the potential for icing, is cancelling all afternoon and evening activities for Tuesday, according to a post on its website.

• ASK US! will remain open.
• The Paul J. Bellew Winter Concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Bellew. The concert will end in time for parents to get to the high school concert if need be.
• The Relay for Life organizational meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.
• The Education Committee meeting is rescheduled for Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Counseling Suite at the high school.
• The Buildings & Grounds Committee meeting is rescheduled for Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Counseling Suite at the high school.
• The Finance Committee meeting is rescheduled for Thursday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Counseling Suite at the high school.
