It’s week 3 of the high school football season and teams from across the region will again be hitting the gridiron. Patch offers a look at this week’s schedule of games and a glimpse back at the results for each school in the area.

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Lindenhurst (1-1) at Bay Shore

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: West Babylon (0-2) at Half Hollow Hills West (0-2) 

Last week: East Islip 41 West Babylon 6; Newfield 35 Hills West 6

• Friday, 6 p.m.; Greenport/Southold at Babylon (2-0)

Last week: Babylon 17 John Glenn 14 

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: West Islip (2-0) at Smithtown West

Last week: West Islip 16 Riverhead 13

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Riverhead at North Babylon (2-0)

Last week: North Babylon 32 Centereach 14

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Deer Park (1-1) at Comsewogue

Last week: Deer Park 29 Eastport/South Manor 0

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Half Hollow Hills East (1-1) at Northport

Last week: Ward Melville 46 Hills East 42

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Sayville (2-0) at Harborfields

• Saturday, 2 p.m.: Bayport-Blue Point (1-1) at Hampton Bays

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I think Proposition 2 is a great idea, in the current structure you have to "call out" anRead More individual basically saying "I think you are doing a particularly bad job". Politics get dirty enough as is and I think this will increase participation and ultimately give us a better Board of Education.
