Gellar Re-Elected as BOE President, Brady Voted Vice President

West Islip School Board takes on new Vice President.

The West Islip Board of Education welcomed a new Vice President during its recent reorganizational meeting.

Scott Brady will take over the reigns from Annmarie LaRosa, who served as the board's Vice President for four years.

Brady will join BOE President Steve Gellar, who was re-elected for another term.

During the meeting, LaRosa thanked Brady for stepping up to volunteer for the new role.

"I felt that it was a time for a change in that role, and change is a good thing" she said. "Thank you very much [Mr. Brady] for taking on this responsibility."

LaRosa will remain on the board as a trustee.
