West Islip Public Schools will open two hours late on Monday morning, according to a bulletin posted on the district's website Sunday evening.
The two-hour delay comes more than 48 hours after a blizzard dumped almost two feet of snow across the region, causing hazardous conditions.
The storm caused the cancellations of many weekend prgrams, including driver's education and the Valentine's Dance at Udall Middle School, which has been recheduled for Friday, March 8.
The Manetuck PTA Variety Show, originally set for Friday, Feb. 8, will take place Monday at 7 p.m.
