Video: A 'Rumble' to Remember 9/11 Victims

Islip, Babylon towns co-sponsor kickboxing event at MacArthur Airport to raise funds supporting September 11 memorial at Cedar Beach.

Islip Town and Babylon Town are joining forces to raise funds and honor those lost on .

“Rumble at the Ramp: For Our Fallen Angels” will be held Saturday, September 10, starting at 5 p.m. at Long Island MacArthur Airport. Proceeds from the kickboxing event will benefit ’s , located between Cedar Beach and Overlook Beaches in Babylon Town on Ocean Parkway.

The bears the names of the town’s 48 residents who died on 9/11.

The event, as described in the , is the brainchild of , a Lindenhurst resident and employee at MacArthur Airport. Her father, , was among those who died at the World Trade Center nearly 10 years ago.

The Rumble on the Ramp card features 18 matches, including . Tickets for the event are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. More information may be obtained by e-mailing rumbleontheramp@gmail.com.
