Republican presidential nominee makes a stop in the Town of Islip on trip to Tuesday's big debate.

Mitt Romney landed at Long Island MacArthur Airport Tuesday morning on his way to tonight's presidential debate at Hofstra University.

The Republican was greeted on the tarmac by Town of Islip officials, including town councilmen John Cochrane, Anthony Senft and Steve Flotteron.

"I had the honor of welcoming Governor Mitt Romney to the Town of Islip," Flotteron posted on his official Facebook page. "May the best man win the debate tonight!"
