NY Governor Sends Rosh Hashanah Wishes

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the state's diversity strengthens and energizes New York.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday issued the following statement ahead of Rosh Hashanah, which begins at sundown:

This evening, members of the Jewish community throughout the state will gather with family and friends to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and commencement of the High Holy Days.

This important period is an opportunity to reflect on the year that has passed and plan for the year ahead. During this time of reflection, we once again celebrate the diversity that strengthens and energizes our state and recommit ourselves to work together to create a better, more peaceful and secure future for all.

I extend warm wishes to all for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. L'Shanah Tovah.
