More Mosquito Spraying Set For Fire Island

Several communities will be treated on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Suffolk County Department of Public Works has planned sprays on Tuesday and Wednesday in parts of Fire Island in an on-going effort to control the adult mosquito population.

Tuesday evening, Davis Park and Point O’Woods will be treated from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Ground spraying will use Anvil in an ultra low volume aerosol.

On Wednesday, Ocean Bay Park will be sprayed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. also using Anvil in an ultra low volume aerosol.

To date, more than 30 cases of West Nile virus have been reported across Suffolk County, but no cases in humans.

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
