Suffolk County Legislator Tom Barraga has announced that a town meeting to be held at the West Islip American Legion Hall on June 3 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The meeting will be hosted by Legislator Barraga and conducted by Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services.
The purpose of the meeting is to educate residents on what to expect from a severe coastal storm and how to prepare for it.

FEMA, NY State Emergency Management Office officials, Suffolk County and local emergency management personnel, federal flood insurance experts and property insurance specialists will be on hand to provide advice and answer any questions.
