CVS Proposal Hearing Adjourned

Planning Board hearing rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14, according to the West Islip Association.

The hearing on the proposal to construct a CVS pharmacy at the site of the vacant La Grange Inn has been "adjourned," according to information posted on Islip Town's website Monday morning.

The planning board was set to hear the proposal and zoning change request on Thursday. A reason for the adjournment was not provided.

The applicant, First Hartford Realty, is seeking a special permit from the Planning Board for a 24-hour retail space "in excess of 10,000 square feet of gross floor area" as well as a drive-through window for the pharmacy.

According to leaders of the West Islip Association who have seen proposed plans for the pharmacy, the hearing is rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

Patch's requests for comment from the Town of Islip and First Hartford Realty were not returned.
