West Islip Motorcycle Crash Critically Injures Man

Accident occurs after man loses control of motorcycle on Anchorage Drive Friday night, police say.

A West Babylon man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident Friday night in West Islip, police said. 

Thomas Carini, 33, was riding his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Anchorage Drive east of Snedecor Avenue at 7:40 p.m. when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, police said.

Carini was transported to with severe head injuries and was admitted in critical condition, police said.

 The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
