Two Grand Larceny Incidents Within Two Days in West Islip

Vehicle stolen; car theft incident occurred back to back this week.

Two grand larceny incidents this past week in West Islip both involved vehicles and happened in a two-day span.

A 2005 Mercedes was reported stolen on Nov. 12 along the westbound service road of Sunrise Highway.

The next day, Nov. 13, a car window on a 2004 Toyota parked at Blink Fitness was broken into and a purse was stolen.

As Patch reported in late October, Blink just celebrated one year in operation at its location at 75 Sunrise Highway.

A burglary on Norma Avenue was also reported to police on Nov. 13, and an incident of identify theft was reported on Nov. 12 by a Sequams resident.
