Several readers have alerted Patch to lingering safety issues remaining three weeks after Hurricane Sandy

The photo attached is one of several sent to us by Patch readers recently, raising concerns about issues that may be remaining three weeks after Hurricane Sandy blew through Long Island.

In this photo, a tree is cracked down the middle and leaning against another tree in the park on the corner of Prescott Place and Tad Lane in Old Bethpage.

"It almost looks like with a good wind that it could slide down off the base that where it's cracked," wrote alert Patch reader David L., who sent us the photo. "It looks very dangerous to me, especially in a children's playground.

Surely there are other trees and low-hanging power lines remaining. Please upload your photos of dangerous conditions in your neighborhood to this story.

Coming out of Target parking lot onto Rt. 110 Is a power line hanging just above the roof line of my suv. A larger suv will hit this wire. Very unsafe

I hope they alerted the town first. that's the right way to go, not the newspaper.

Louis. The resident first alerted the town and they are addressing the issue.
