Postal Worker From West Islip Killed in Crash

Truck was struck Monday in Lloyd Harbor.

A postal worker who died after a car crash in Lloyd Harbor was identified Wednesday as a West Islip resident.

Suffolk County Police said Alan Nobile died Monday night at Huntington Hospital. His small truck was struck near the intersection of Banbury Lane and West Neck Road. The vehicle struck a tree and Nobile was ejected from the truck. 

He was taken to Huntington Hospital but succumb to his injuries, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a Lloyd Harbor man, was not identified. Lloyd Harbor police said he suffered minor injuries.

Suffolk Police are continuing the investigation.
