Police Looking For Men Who Robbed Victim With Machete

Police are looking for three Hispanic men who robbed a victim with a machete last year.

Local authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who robbed a victim with a machete last year.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are looking for three Hispanic men who jumped out of a silver minivan and robbed a male victim on September 29 of last year.

The robbery took place on Stein Drive in North Bay Shore at approximately 12:30 a.m. when the suspects threatened the victim with a machete before stealing his wallet, which contained cash and a debit card.

A short time after the robbery, the suspects used the stolen card at a 7-Eleven located on Union Avenue in Bay Shore and at a Hess gas station on Route 111 in Islip. They left in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, according to a witness.

One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic man in his mid-30s with medium build, black hair and a mustache. He was wearing black pants, a black t-shirt and a black jacket at the time of the incident. Another suspect was described similarly as a Hispanic man also in his mid-30s with heavy build and black hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants. There is no description of the third suspect.
