Police Activity Seen Along Sunrise Highway
K-9 unit and police helicopter among law enforcement presence seen on Wednesday.
A Suffolk County Police K-9 unit and a police helicopter were seen Wednesday afternoon in a section of West Islip along Sunrise Highway between Udall Road and Route 231.
In addition, an unmarked police unit stopped a dark gray sedan on Higbie Lane at the corner of Country Greens Street.
The K-9 unit was seen searching an area near the car wash and homes on Country Greens Street.
It was not immediately know what police were searching for or why police had stopped the gray sedan.
