Overnight Fire Damages Pine Ave. Home

Initial reports indicate at least two fire fighters treated for injuries

A fire early Friday morning that badly damanged a home at 785 Pine Ave. sent at least two fire fighters to the hospital for treatment of injuries. It is not know what those injuries are.

Initial reports also indicated that residents of the dwelling escaped without injury. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

According to initial reports received by West Islip Patch, the fire started just after midnight Friday and was brought under control just after 1 a.m. Reports also indicated that units from Bay Shore and Babylon assisted in battling the fire.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated by West Islip Patch as additional details are obtained.

Thank god no one was home and injured. Sadly the family dog (Alaskan Husky) cherished in the fire!!!! Does anyone know the injuries to the firemen???
