West Babylon
The owner of a West Babylon pizzeria who was arrested in May for allegedly selling drugs out of the business pled not guilty to 18 counts of drug-related charges, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

A Queens woman has been arrested and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records after she allegedly stole more than $12,000 from two local group homes for the developmentally disabled where she worked as the resident manager.
Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said that since 2001, Denessa Yearwood, 36, of Springfield Gardens, who worked as the resident manager for a group home in Lynbrook and in East Rockaway, stole more than $12,000 by altering or re-using existing receipts for resident expenses in the homes' ledgers.
Garden City
The department is investigating an incident at where two female subjects stole 14 tank tops valued at $450 from the Kardashian Department of the store.
West Hempstead
from a West Hempstead supermarket has been sentenced to 14 hours of community service.
Inwood
An Inwood man was one of two men arrested last week after allegedly possessing and selling illegal fireworks.
According to Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Bureau, after an investigation, Tobias Scott, 52, of Inwood, and Samuel Andujar, 45, of Tobyhanna, Pa., unlawfully possessed and sold six three-inch Aerial Mortar Shells, which are 1.3G "commercial" grade explosives.
The two defendants also possessed and sold 16 assorted items of 1.4G "consumer" grade fireworks, police said.
The defendants did not have a valid license to possess, store or sell the above mentioned items. Both defendants were arrested at their residences around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday without incident.
Franklin Square
Police arrested a Howard Beach man for attempting to rob a Franklin Square jewelry store in mid-January.
Nassau County Police say Darren Elliott, 25, and another male suspect attempted to rob Stein Family Jewelers, located at 784 Hempstead Turnpike, on the morning of Jan. 15. One of the men walked in the store and demanded the 59-year-old victim get in the back while his accomplice pointed a handgun at him. The victim was able to activate the panic alarm as he complied with the demand and his hands were tied together. A 33- year-old male witness walked in the store and startled the suspects, who then fled the scene on foot. There were no proceeds and no injuries reported.
Seaford
MTA Police are investigating graffiti that was discovered drawn throughout the Monday morning.
Commuters found the vandalism on the train station platform as well as next to the tracks above Jackson Avenue. Graffiti was also painted on a sidewalk in front of a World War I memorial on the train station property that is operated by the Town of Hempstead.
Long Beach
Janice Martinez, 38, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a 4-year-old in the car, DWI with a 11-year-old in the car, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and driving with a suspended license.
Mineola
An Amyityville man led police on a on June 28 at 11:51 p.m., striking several police vehicles before fleeing on foot on Rudolph Drive and into a nearby apartment complex.
Woodbury
A Lindenhurst man was arrested by Nassau Police over the weekend and charged with robbery.
According to the NCPD's Second Squad, Irving Casillas, 38, was nabbed on Friday morning after allegedly pushing a woman down to the ground and taking her purse in Woodbury.
Second Squad detectives said at 9:50 a.m. on June 29 Casillas and another unknown male white subject drove a 48-year-old female victim, who was an acquaintance, to conduct some banking.
Police said after the transaction was completed the defendant and subject returned the victim to her residence.
The victim, according to police, exited the vehicle followed by the defendant. Casillas pushed her to the ground, took her purse, and fled the scene in the car.
No injuries were reported, police said.
The defendant surrendered to the Second Squad, according to Detective Perna, and was charged with robbery in the third degree.
Southold
Michael Gress, 48, of North Salem, was charged with boating while intoxicated on June 29 after he ran aground near a beach in East Marion, police said. Gress was operating his vessel in a southernly direction on autopilot when he ran aground, police said. Upon arrival police found Gress to be intoxicated , he was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was held for arraignment in Southold Town Justice court.
Southampton
Southampton Police arrested a Hampton Bays man on felony burglary charges on Thursday after they said he stole a handful of household items from a Hampton Bays home and tried pawning them at a yard sale.
A family reported arriving at their Yale Drive home in late May to find that a television, antique dresser, microwave, chairs, and more had been stolen. Police said that a short time later those same items were seen at a yard sale on Lyncliff Avenue.
Police arrested Gregg Ggennari, 48, on charges of second-degree blurglary, a class C felony.
Miller Place-RockyPoint
Jennifer Jorgensen, of Sound Beach, was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison for the death of her baby born prematurely in an accident in Ridge that also killed two others in 2008.
Jorgensen was sentenced last week after being convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the crash back in March.
