Crimes Nearby: Lindenhurst Man Charged with West Babylon Bank Robbery

West Babylon

A Lindenhurst man Suffolk Police has now been found guilty, according to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.

was arrested last year after allegedly robbing banks in Lindenhurst, West Babylon and Copiague, and was apprehended following the robbery of the TD Bank at 701 Montauk Highway in West Babylon, police said.

Babylon

According to Riverhead Town police, Timothy Corcoran of Babylon was driving while intoxicated on Route 105 on Friday night and hit a teenaged bicyclist from Flanders. Corcoran was later arrested at a nearby McDonald's by New York State Police and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

The teenager was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to police Corcoran hit the bicylist at 10:35 p.m. and was apprehended a short time later. Corcoran was arraigned the next day.

Deer Park

According to Suffolk County police, Joseph Coppa, 57, of Brooklyn, arrested and charged with neglecting to provide proper care for his 95-year old mother who suffers with Alzheimer’s disease and lives in Deer Park.

Coppa allegedly ignored several mandates to provide 24-hour home care for his mother by Good Samaritan Hosital Medical Center.
