Crime Report: Sex Offender Arrested

Incidents reported by the Third Precinct of the SCPD between September 25- October 2.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

On September 25, James O'Donnell, of West Islip, was arrested in West Islip and charged with first degree criminal contempt.

On September 26, Edward Russo, of West Islip, was arrested in West Islip and charged with violating sex offender registration- first offense and aggravated harassment.

On September 27, a Bay Shore man was arrested in West Islip and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

On September 27, a Deer Park man was arrested in West Islip and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

On September 29, a West Islip man was arrested in West Islip and charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Incidents

On September 23, there was a report of grand larceny on Hyman Avenue. According to police, a fence was damaged.

On September 25, there was a report of criminal mischief on Sylvia Drive. According to police, a homeowner discovered the back door of their house kicked in.

On September 25, there was a report of criminal mischief on Jean Road. According to police, a brick was thrown through the windows of a car.

On September 28, there was a report of aggaravted harassment on West Bay Drive. According to police, an individual received a threatening phone call from a stranger.

On September 28, there was a report of criminal mischief on Pine Avenue. According to police, the report stemmed from a domestic dispute in which a teenage son kicked a parent's vehicle.
