Crime Report: Fatal Hit-and-Run, DWI Arrest
Arrests and incidents reported by the Third Precinct of the SCPD between June 27-July 1.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrests
The body of an apparent just after midnight on July 2. The victim was later identified as Jason Nelson, 26, of Brightwaters. No arrests were made; the investigation is continuing.

On June 27, Kimberli Burns, of Minetto, was arrested in West Islip and charged with driving while intoxicated.

- On June 30, there was a report of criminal mischief on Babylon Avenue.
