Arrests
Three people were arrested and charged in connection with the hit and run on New Year's eve that left a West Islip teen in critical condition.
On January 2, a West Islip man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
On January 2, John Scunziano, of Central Islip, was arrested and charged with DWI.
On January 6, a West Islip man was arrested and charged with petit larceny.

Incidents
On January 6, there was a report of grand larceny on Montauk highway. According to police reports, several items were taken from a vehicle.
