These are the only crimes that SCPD seems to focus on. I mean really who are these people hurting. Now they are in the system and they are hurting the tax payers who have to house them, pay their legal aid attorneys and then drug programs that don't work. Why don't you guys focus on the real crimes like the politicians and school boards that are ripping us off every day? Or just sit in the firehouses drinking your coffee and donuts.

Mrmojorisin: The above police report states a BRENTWOOD woman and a CENTEREACH man were arrested In West Islip . . . they are not from West Islip. They, plus the West Islip man, had marijuana in their possession. Marijuana is legal in many states. Yes, taxes are up and housing down, like most other areas in this country. West Islip Schools has problems like other districts but this district DOES NOT SUCK! As a resident of West Islip for 54 years I am 100% behind your moving elsewhere. No one asked you to move here in the first place.

Ella did you read there is heorin around this town west islip believe is full of drugs. Along with other towns but west islip is not all you think it is.
ELLA March 16, 2013 at 07:49 PM
Sammy . . . I have news for you. Heorin has been in West Islip when my kids went to school 20+ years ago. Drugs were found in the HS lockers but it was kept quiet. Compared to the other towns, West Islip is just as GOOD.
lucky March 16, 2013 at 09:05 PM
west islip is just as GOOD as what?
ELLA March 17, 2013 at 01:46 AM
As good as the other towns, and better than some. I have friends who moved to the South and kept telling us how wonderful it was and that we should move. Now their taxes are going up, the schools are going down, and sink holes all around. If you or anyone is not happy and want to move, do it while you can, Seriously I wish you the best in what ever you decide to do.

we will help you pack buddy......
Halford March 17, 2013 at 01:32 PM
have you ever been to parts of Bellport, Amityville, Brentwood, Hempstead, Roosevelt, Huntington etc., etc., on and on..??? or do you stick you head in the sand like an ostrich....
Halford March 17, 2013 at 01:37 PM
Don't you mean rampant? Must be too many drugs....I'm sure that drugs are available practically anywhere including West Islip...but I am not exactly ready to join in with any Doomsday Preppers to stay isolated from any gangs that are at the ready to invade West Islip.....
ELLA March 18, 2013 at 03:03 AM
Halford: I am very aware of the problems of Bellport and the other towns. I grew up in one of these towns you mentioned. I didn't feel it was polite to mention these towns or the ones I won’t even drive into.
Halford March 18, 2013 at 12:09 PM
Sorry if I offended you, but those towns were merely used as an example....by your own admission, those towns and others are ones that you won't drive into....
ELLA March 19, 2013 at 12:45 AM
Halford . . . It takes more than “head in the sand” to offend me. Have a good evening!
