Crime Report: Drug Arrest, Car Burglary

Incidents reported by the Third Precinct of the SCPD between September 17- September 25.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

On September 20, a Lindenhurst woman was arrested in West Islip and charged with criminal posession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

On September 19, a West Islip man was arrested in West Islip and charged with second degree harassment.

Incidents

A West Islip man reportedly interrupted a car burglary that was in progress outside of his home on Lawn Avenue during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 25.

On September 22, there was a report of grand larceny on Hyman Avenue.

On September 19, there was a report of criminal mischief on Penney Street. According to police, a fence was damaged.

On September 17, there was a report of grand larceny on Cedar Point Drive.

On September 17, there was a report of grand larceny on Muncey Road. According to police, tools were reported missing from a vehicle.

This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Politics get dirty enough as is and I think this will increase participation and ultimately give us a better Board of Education.
