Crime Report: Burglary, DWI

Arrests and incidents reported by the Third Precinct of the SCPD between March 15-21.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On March 17, Glenn M., of West Islip, was arrested in West Islip and charged with burglary. 
  • On March 17, Nicholas Z., of Islip Terrace, was arrested in West Islip and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
  • On March 17, Claire B., of West Islip, was arrested in West Islip and charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
  • On March 16, Michael T., of St. James, was arrested in West Islip and charged with aggravated harassment.
  • On March 15, Geoffrey G., of Dix Hills, was arrested in West Islip and charged with DWI with a previous conviction in the past 10 years.

Incidents

  • On March 18, there was a report of harassment on Highland Avenue at 11:30 a.m.
  • On March 17, there was a report of criminal mischief on Wagstaff Lane at 2:50 a.m.
  • On March 17, there was a report of grand larceny on Highbie Lane at 1:08 p.m.

jerry, I'm not sure it's being nosy to care about whether the guy who lives on your block is a burglar or not. Sorry it "sickens" you that people want to protect their families.

its a lot more important to know who the violent felons are then the dwi people or the domestic incidents. priorities are screwed up.
