Boyle to Host Teen Drug Abuse Prevention Forum Thursday

Community meeting will take place Thursday at 6 p.m. at the West Islip Public Library.

Senator Phil Boyle has partnered with Suffolk County Sheriff's Alcohol and Substance Abuse Task Force and the Youth Enrichment Services program to host a teen drug prevention abuse meeting on Thursday.

The forum will be begin at 6 p.m. at West Islip Public Library.

Aimed at increasing awareness regarding the dangers of drug abuse among teens, the meeting will focus on the signs of drug use, current drug trends, and how to find help for a friend or family member involved with substance abuse.

Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with local groups that can offer more information. Free take-home drug testing kits will also be available.
