What About Storm Water Management?

The Long Island Builders Institute goes in-depth on how to manage storm waters during the next big storm after Hurricane Sandy swept over five feet of water on the shorelines of Long Island this past fall. Tips include how to avoid contamination of the waters that hits your home and drain into our basins.

"Take your car to the car wash instead of washing it in the driveway at home, as strange as that seems it helps prevent pollution," they wrote.  "Always check your car for leaks, and don’t forget to recycle your motor oil."

Six Questions to Ask Before Moving Your Business

Staurt Walton, a property manager of Greenway Plaza Office Park, gives his take on those looking to move their businesses and what should be thought of before taking the big move.

"It is crucial to understand what you would like to gain from your move," he writes. "Consider the size, the area and the price range that you would ideally like in a new office space."

Setting the Price of Your Home to Sell!

Local real estate agent Kristin Schuster continues her column on how to prepare your home for sale, including this week's tips on how to set the right price for your most valuable possession. 

"All real estate agents should be bringing a Comparative Market Analysis of your home when they come to meet with you to list your home," she writes. "Real Estate Agents use a similar system to what the banks will be using to determine your value these are the main characteristics in importance order that you will want to be using."

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
