Today's Picks: Super Bowl Food
Not having chicken wings at a Super Bowl party is like going to Six Flags that doesn't have any roller coasters. They're a staple, and West Islip does them right. The claims to have delicious wings that are "spicy and crispy," according to owner Chris Hendrickson. 's aren't too shabby either.
Next to the wing platter should be a an Italian or American hero. Anywhere from three to six feet should do. Dan Herb, co-owner of recommends his monster hero: “The Super Italian (salami, peppers, provolone, two hams and the works--lettuce, tomato, onion, salt, pepper, vinegar and oregano) is a slice of heaven,” he said. “The flavors go together.”
3. Hot Food & Pizza

4. Junk (chips, pretzels, dips)
Side dishes are obvious. Perhaps a zesty onion dip, macaroni or potato salad. These can generally be purchased at one of West Islip's supermarkets, like Best Yet, King Kullen or Stop and Shop. You can also check out for more unique options.
