Local Cub Scouts Searching for Stolen Goods

Pack looking for community's help to find stolen trailer.

Editor's Note: The following was contributed by Fran Colello-Walsh.

Cub Scout Pack 370’s trailer was stolen with all their pack, gear, flags etc.

The pack’s trailer was last seen on Monday Jan. 16, parked on their sponsor’s lot, Marconi lodge in Islip. It is a 1985 silver unite trailer, plate number: BA90915.

It has most of the old lettering on it "Boy Scouts Troop 439" (we owned it for seven months). A police report was filed, but we're missing a big part of us.
Cub Scout Pack 370 consists of over 70 scouts, ages 7 to 10, from the Town of Islip. The pack has been around for over 43 years and is sponsored by Marconi Lodge.

Over the years, the pack keeps on giving back to the community.  Some of the ongoing projects would include: Making care packages for our local military soldiers, helping out with the Keep Islip Clean program, providing meals to the less fortunate during the holidays.  This pack guides the young scouts to do the right thing and strive in making it a better place.

Losing ALL of their equipment is only a speed bump in their history. These scouts are thought to “do their best!” and not take the easy way out and quit or give up!

We are very saddened that this happened and it will be hard to tell the scouts that their hard work was stolen by someone that wanted it more. The pack will rise above this and look ahead.

Cub Scout Pack 370 is now looking toward the community for some help!
If you have seen the trailer, please call 911 or the cubmaster at 631-882-5533

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
