Why me? What happens now? Will I be okay?

These are just some of the many questions we ask when diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis can be scary, overwhelming, and often isolating. A support group can help.

Please join us at the Women’s Therapy Center for our free breast cancer support group. Group meets every WEDNESDAY EVENING from 7-8:30pm.  Group is open to women who are newly diagnosed, in active treatment, or post treatment. Our group is a safe and confidential space to talk about your cancer experience and meet other women learning to live a full life even after a breast cancer diagnosis.

Our Cancer Specialist has been counseling women with breast cancer since 2009.  We offer both individual and group counseling at the Center. Jennifer is one of very few psychotherapists on Long Island who focuses solely on counseling women with cancer. This is what separates our group from the rest.

If you feel you are not ready for a group but need support, please contact us to schedule an individual counseling session. We are fee-for-service specialists and do not participate in any insurance company except Medicare.  By remaining independent of insurance constrains, we can give you our undivided attention, design a treatment plan that is most suitable to your needs, schedule as many visits as required for a full resolution, and spend as much time with you as needed during treatment and after hours. Please contact our office and visit our website to learn about how we work with your insurance. Thank you.
