West Islip Resident Edward P. Silverman, Korean Vet, Dies
Visiting Friday, burial mass on Saturday.
Funeral and burial services have been set for West Islip resident Edward P. Silverman who died on Nov. 18, 2013.
Silverman was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War and a member of the West Islip American Legion and Freemason.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Silverman, devoted father of Stacy (Chris) Crawford and Christine Silverman and cherished grandfather of Jason, Amanda, Robert and Kaitlyn. Dear brother of Joseph Silverman.

Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. Visiting is Friday, Nov. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, West Islip. Cremation to follow.
